Manchester Street Session / Nike Dunks
By | July 9, 2008
Well, the rain stopped just long enough last night for us to get into town for our weekly mountain bike street session. Pretty mellow session but managed to get a couple of nice roll backs down a double set of steps next to M&S. Bumped into a couple of trials riding dudes whilst there who were doing some pretty crazy stuff. At one point one of the dudes was hopping on his back wheel on top of a wall ready to drop 9ft to flat! Anyway, he bailed it due to his ankle only coming out of plaster 2 weeks ago…I’m sure he’ll be up there again in a couple of weeks though. On the footwear side of things we managed to get a good photo of Stefan sporting a cool pair of Nike Dunk Tweed Packs. Not the usual shoe of choice for trials riding but they seem to be working pretty good for him. Check out the high res version of the photo for a close up of the sneaks in action.
Anyway, it’s raining again so we now need to wait for the rain to stop so we can get out riding again. In the meantime I will be watching the levels of the River Irwell with a view to having another run down in the kayak. Had a great run down on Monday…it was a drop everything and paddle kinda day as we had a massive downpour Sunday. You just gotta make the most of the British weather – even when it’s crap. FRJ
